Gocce di Futuro (Drops of Future) is a civic and environmental education project promoted by the Fondazione di Venezia, with technical support from WeSchool and scientific contributions from Environment Park. The initiative aims to raise awareness among more than 300 lower secondary school students across the Province of Venice regarding climate change and sustainable water management.
The Venice Sustainability Foundation (VSF) is a partner in the closing event, “Living the Change. Drops of Future: A Project Connecting the Environment, Schools, and the Community”, which will take place on May 26 at The Home of The Human Safety Net in the Procuratie Vecchie in St. Mark’s Square. The seminar will provide an opportunity for discussion between schools, institutions, and the local community on environmental education, active citizenship, and educational innovation.
The main feature of the event will be the finalist classes, who will present the projects developed over recent months to save the imaginary city of Idropolis from a water crisis. The finalists will be rewarded with a customized educational workshop curated by The Human Safety Net to foster active citizenship and environmental project planning skills, alongside a visit to the interactive exhibition “A World of Potential” at The Home of The Human Safety Net to explore their personal strengths and translate them into tangible, positive community impacts.
This event is part of VSF’s Social Inclusion activities, established to promote real opportunities for all citizens, ensure access to services, encourage active participation in civic life, and bridge social inequalities. Through synergy among institutions, associations, and school communities, VSF helps build an inclusive support network where young people and families can grow together, fully aware of their role in society.
