On Monday, September 8, Venice Sustainability Foundation (VSF) headquarters hosted a 19-member South Korean delegation from the Jeollanamdo Institute for Talent & Lifelong Education. The delegation, comprising institute staff, researchers from local companies, and municipal officials, traveled to Italy to study renewable energy development strategies and energy transition processes.
Based in South Jeolla Province, the institute is a regional organization dedicated to strengthening local capabilities and fostering sustainable regional growth through cutting-edge educational programs. The entity leads numerous initiatives in lifelong learning, environmental innovation, and green industry development in close collaboration with local communities and industrial partners.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for dialogue and knowledge sharing. VSF Project Managers Damiano De Marchi, Luca Farina, and Alessandro Scardino presented the Foundation's work, with special emphasis on the Hydrogen thematic area, including a comprehensive overview of green hydrogen projects, research, and applications.
Discussions highlighted compelling similarities between the Venetian context and the delegation's home region in South Korea regarding hydrogen-related challenges and opportunities, paving the way for potential future collaborations.
