Regione del Veneto, in collaboration with Venice Sustainability Foundation (VSF), of which it is a founding member, has launched a survey aimed at mapping hydrogen value chain competencies and potential demand for this energy carrier across Veneto.
The mapping exercise marks the inaugural activity of the hydrogen working group – promoted by VSF and coordinated by the Veneto Region – which serves the broader goal of establishing a Hydrogen and Alternative Energy Hub in Marghera. This hub is designed to generate positive economic and environmental impacts across the entire regional territory, supported by the potential development of additional hydrogen hubs in energy-intensive industry districts throughout Veneto.
The survey is aimed at businesses operating in Veneto, inviting them to contribute toward establishing Venice and the Veneto region as an attractive center for the hydrogen supply chain by sharing competencies, projects, and requirements through an online questionnaire accessible on the Foundation's web portal and distributed through various channels in collaboration with Foundation members participating in the project. The initiative represents one of the initial actions driven by VSF, aimed at establishing an integrated environmental, economic, and social model of sustainable development for the City of Venice and its metropolitan area capable of delivering positive benefits throughout the Veneto region.
