News > Sustainability Pills for the Younger Generation: VSF at Biennale's International Kids' Carnival
Building on the educational workshop experience linked to the “Intelligent Venice: The Oldest City of the Future” exhibition during Biennale Architettura 2025, VSF is pleased to renew its partnership with Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia and Biennale Educational, originally launched for the exhibition.
For the 17th edition of the Carnevale Internazionale dei Ragazzi, VSF will provide informative materials featuring accessible "sustainability pills" designed to introduce children to caring for the environment, the community, and the city.
In addition, VSF’s contribution includes a concrete circular economy initiative. A portion of the fabrics used in the display setup of "Intelligent Venice" will be shared with La Biennale for repurposing during the Carnival workshops. Reusing exhibition design materials is part of a broader commitment the Foundation integrates into its operations whenever possible: reducing resource consumption, prioritizing recyclable or recycled media, minimizing waste, and partnering with environmentally responsible organizations.
The fabrics will be specifically utilized in the hands-on art workshop “Fantastic Materials” (I Materiali Fantastici), designed for preschools and primary schools. The workshop will explore matter as a connecting element across people, environments, and cultural narratives, while promoting collective well-being. Participants will be invited to design an “innovative material” – taking inspiration from recycled supplies – and imagine creative solutions to help humanity adapt to climate change.
