The Venice Sustainability Foundation network has expanded with the addition of three new members, formalized at the Steering Committee meeting on July 18, 2025.
The Metropolitan City of Venice joins as a Co-Founding Member. A key reference point for spatial planning, the environment, and broad-area infrastructure, the authority shares VSF's commitment to sustainable development that balances local identity, natural resources, and social cohesion. Its contribution spans multiple VSF thematic areas, from energy transition and mobility to inclusion and the culture of legality.
MARE Health Italia also joins as a Co-Founding Member. An entrepreneurial initiative promoted by Frank Gotthardt – founder of CompuGroup Medical, a global healthcare software leader – MARE Health envisions redeveloping the former Ospedale al Mare site on the Lido of Venice into a campus dedicated to AI research applied to healthcare. Developed under strict environmental sustainability criteria, the project aligns with VSF's strategic objectives, particularly within the “Venice City Campus,” “Residency,” and “Innovation” thematic areas, while fostering new urban and productive functions along the coastline.
Finally, Comin & Partners joins as a Supporting Member. As a consultancy firm specializing in strategic communication, media relations, and institutional affairs, the new partner will help VSF increase the visibility of its initiatives and strengthen dialogue with local, national, and international stakeholders.
With these additions, VSF further enriches its expertise in key sectors critical to the future of Venice and its broader territory.
