VSF at Aquamour Festival for the celebration of “water in all its forms”

This morning, Alessandro Costa, Director General VSF, participated in the panel discussion Redesigning Venice with Nature’s Intelligence, held at the headquarters of The Human Safety Net, in the context of the Aquamour Festival, patronized by VSF.

“In an integrated sustainability project, attracting and supporting innovative activities is a concrete way to strengthen and diversify Venice’s economy. This process also generates positive social and cultural effects: it creates new skills, frees up resources for local initiatives and can help bring residency back to the city. With this in mind, VSF intends to explore the theme of “Water in all its forms,” evaluating its potential and innovations, as it has already done with the space economy and urban mining, fast-growing sectors linked to sustainable development”, Costa said.

A number of keynote speeches were given throughout the morning. Andrea Rinaldo, Tiziana Lippiello, Enrico Marchi, Benno Albrecht, Domenico Guglielmi, Silvio Parizzi and Guido Petrucci, among others, took part in the discussion. Each, through their expertise, contributed to outlining a shared vision: the need to pursue a sustainable development model for Venice.
