Eventi > Duezerocinquezero Forum | “Every choice accelerates change”

The national forum on energy and sustainability, Duezerocinquezero, reignited the debate on the strategies and actions required to achieve Italy’s sustainability, resilience, and energy autonomy goals by 2050. Now in its fifth edition, this year's Forum was co-organized by VSF and held under the patronage of, among others, the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, the Municipality of Padua, the University of Padua, and Assoesco.
Over three days, institutional representatives, businesses, academics, professionals, and industry associations gathered to address key issues surrounding ecological transition and national development: from energy autonomy – with its implications for security and sustainability – to critical raw materials and the environmental and energy footprint of Artificial Intelligence. Central to the discussion were also smart cities, collaborative governance, and social sustainability, alongside waste management, emerging technologies, and energy efficiency.
The Forum took place between April 21 and April 23, 2026, at the Centro Culturale San Gaetano (Via Altinate 71, Padua).
As part of the event program, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, VSF organized a panel titled “Urban Resilience to Climate Change: The Case of Venice”. The session – held from 1:45 PM to 3:00 PM – focused on the impacts of climate change on the city of Venice, specifically regarding the protection of its population, economy, and cultural heritage
In detail, the panel examined risks associated with sea-level rise and potential extreme events, highlighting how Venice is addressing these challenges through public-private engagement, technological innovation, data utilization, and international exchange.
